The :30 ColdGear, Lindsey Vonn + Dick's is being used in broadcast, cable and online media out- lets and features two-time World Cup champion downhill ski racer Lindsey Vonn training in a special lab within Dick's Sporting Goods. The goal of the spot is to promote Under Ar- mour's ColdGear line of apparel, which allows ath- letes to perform optimally in extremely cold condi- tions. The spot features Vonn entering a Dick's retail location and being summoned to the Cold Abuse Simulator, which uses jet engines, snow machines and treadmills to recreate the intensity of an icy downhill course. Andre Stringer and Clayton Vomero of Shilo's cre- ative arm, We Make It Good, conceived the spot, which was shot in an LA factory over the course of two days. Vonn was filmed on a rig to best create the look of a steep mountain course. DP Mar tin Ahlgren captured the live-action on 35mm film using the Arriflex 435 Xtreme package. Shilo used Maya to create the animated jet engine. Practical snow was aug- mented with CG elements. The treadmill was also a practical rig, enhanced through CG.
