With over two decades of experience, Brockhurst has worked on effects-driven spots for major brands such as Kia, Guinness, Volvo, EA Sports and BMW, and worked for top shops that include MPC, Framestore, The Mill, and Method Studios. He has also amplified the visuals on such feature films such as Transformers 3D, Pearl Har- bor and Harry Potter. Recent Zoic work includes spots for Jeep, Samsung and Sony PlayStation. RANDEE BOWMAN, LAURA BERMUDEZ NY-based audio post shop Sonic Union has brought in industry veterans Randee Bowman and Laura Bermudez. Bowman will lead all Sonic Union business development initiatives, with Bermu- dez performing a new role as producer, promoter and connector. Bowman's background as a sales representative for top post shops includes Sound Lounge and Click 3X. Bermudez has worked as an editor on commercials and interactive projects. JOSIAH SPENCER Editor Josiah Spencer is bringing his storytelling skills to Wildchild in New York, where he's joined the editorial roster. Spencer is a multi-faceted art- ist and musician whose work, which includes the Drunk in Love video for Beyonce and the Booty video for J. Lo, encompasses not just creative editorial but also directing, photography, effects and design. At Wildchild he'll work on assign- ments in such high-gloss categories as fashion, beauty, apparel and luxury. His first major project for Wildchild is a fashion and beauty spot for Avon from Badger & Winters. KEVIN O'CONNELL Re-recording mixer Kevin O'Connell has re- turned to Culver City, CA-based Sony Pictures Post Production Services. A 20-time Academy Award-nominee, O'Connell has already complet- ed four projects at Sony: The Boy Next Door, Self/less, No Good Deed and Pitch Perfect 2. He was previously on staff at the studio from 1993 to 2008 with credits including Pearl Harbor, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Transformers, all of which led to Oscar nominations for sound. He's currently working on the upcoming feature Goosebumps. PEOPLE DIRK GREENE New York-based Final Cut expanded its post arm, Significant Others, with the hiring of creative director Dirk Greene, who will oversee its growth into a full-service visual effects boutique. In VFX, Greene's career spans seven years at Absolute as creative director, and well over a decade as senior Flame artist/VFX supervisor at The Mill. He has created VFX for spots for Levis, Nike, Adidas, Sony, BMW and Guinness, plus numerous Super Bowl spots. He won a Clio award for the AT&T Olympic campaign, The New Possible. SASHA LEVINSON Bicoastal content studio Humble welcomes award-winning director and screenwriter Sasha Levinson to its roster for commercial representa- tion. In addition to commercials, Levinson is cur- rently working with Humble on the development of the short film, Sydney Levy's Sacred Things. Levinson started as a costumer and producer on independent films, commercials, and music videos before transitioning into directing. She has directed repeat multi-spot campaigns for McDon- ald's, and has worked with dozens of other brands. TAL FIALA Hollywood-based digital finishing, restoration and post production studio illuminate has named media veteran Tal Fiala president, as it looks to expand the reach of its technology and creative services, with a particular focus on original mov- ies and TV post production across platforms. Fiala has generated new business and im- proved productivity by collaborating with such major brands as HBO, Amazon, Netflix and Hulu, with studio and TV network executives, and has negotiated budgets and sales contracts for post services with major studios. SHAWN Z Bi-coastal production company Tool welcomes comedy director Shawn Z to its expanding roster of filmmakers. After completing his MFA in film, Shawn Z churned out a series of projects via Ca- nadian agency Taxi and production shop Radke. After his spot for Mini Cooper's Find Yourself campaign, he became a sought-after filmmaker and has since built a solid reputation, implement- ing his unique wit to create funny and memorable ad campaigns for numerous globally-recognized brands, including Toyota, Volkswagen, Cadbury, and Burger King, and agen- cies such as Leo Burnett, BBDO, DDB, and Y&R.
