Over the years, I've revisited the issues and am now passing them on to the Santa Fe animal shelter's thrift store for someone else to enjoy and treasure. ~Diane B., via email Parenting with Tech On page 31 of the April/May 2015 WLT, Jessica Ridenour reviews the book Parenting with Presence by Susan Stiffelman, MFT. In the fi rst two paragraphs there are several references to the book providing information related to parenting in a technology-driven, fast-paced, 24/7 world. However, the book does not mention this at all. [The review] can cause readers to think this is a book that will help them with raising a child under the stress of technology-related demands on their time, but this is not the case. This is very misleading. Felix Sahig, via email Jessica Ridenour responds: Thank you for reaching out to us about the Parenting With Presence book review. I'm sorry you felt there was a disconnect in the review regarding the book's coverage of parenting in a modern, tech-fi lled life. The author addresses this multiple times. For example, Chapter 5: Modeling Self- Love and Awareness; and Chapter 9: Helping Our Kids Cope with Stress both center around a technology theme. Hopefully you enjoyed the book in any event. I know I always gain a little insight any time I hear an expert's opinion on parenting. Correction In our April/May issue, the Yoga & Spirit story on "Sustainability and Service" inaccurately stated that Breath Water Sound is part of the Youth Empowerment Seminar (YES!) for Schools program. Both programs are taught through the International Association for Human Values (IAHV), but Breath Water Sound is taught in areas of trauma, development and need, and helps make IAHV's work in those areas sustainable. Bill Herman is the international director of IAHV's YES! for Schools program. WLT regrets the error. We all know happiness is a choice. We also know we need… • 5 fruits and vegetables a day • 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week • 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night But most of us are over-committed, overworked and !nancially pressured, which makes these goals harder to achieve. As a result, we have to work harder and harder at being happy. I know, because when I started drinking an organic Superfood Power Shake, my energy so dramatically improved it became naturally easier to maintain my healthy weight, exercise and eat better. Life became easier, so of course I felt happier. I'm around health products all the time—and there are a lot of good products in the marketplace—but this one is di"erent. So when people started asking me about it, I shared the information. Before I knew it I had a growing business. I'm Katie, and this is my story. I would love to share it with you so you, too, can have a happier, healthier life and additional income. Happy people = happy planet.
