2 / the tasting panel / december 2009 A bsolut partied in New York last month on a stop in its five-city rollout of its new ad campaign, "Anthem." Held at Chelsea night club La Pomme, the party featured DJ Berrie (called "one of America's premier party- rockers" by Vanity Fair magazine), with HD screens looping the artistic TV commercial and interspersing it with images of guests who took advantage of the on-site digital photo booth. Absolut cocktails rocked the bar, with a special Anthem drink of ginger ale, pineapple and lime. The campaign's tag, "Doing things differently leads to some- thing exceptional," hopes to capture the "neo-yuppy," the 25- to 30-something crowd that works but also likes to go out and have fun, says David Wilson of MMG-Strategic Event Marketing, which produced the event in each city.—Lana Bortolot Absolut Launches "Anthem" Ad Campaign in New York City New York's Four Seasons Hotel had two things to celebrate in November: the opening of the Garden Restaurant and Wine Bar and the appointment of Lacey Rozinsky as its sommelier. Formerly of Le Bernardin, Rozinsky will oversee a wine program that includes 150 domestic and international wines by the glass. She held similar positions at other New York's top restaurants such as Alto, Fiamma Osteria and Noche. The restaurant opened in the expansive and impressive mezzanine in the Midtown hotel (which lays claim to the most expensive accommodation in the world, the Ty Warner Penthouse priced at $35,000 per night), and will feature tasting plates from Executive Chef Anthony Zamora's menu, as well as artisanal cheese, charcuterie and chocolate tastings. —L.B.
