Biggest Risk-Taker KC JONES 2010 STREAMLINER, SONOMA COUNTY ($25) Like the girl who came back on the first day of senior year with a rocking new look, Kelley Creamer Jones wasn't afraid to mix things up a bit in her life, and in 2010, decided to go for it. Leaving the comforts of her old career at a large fam- ily winery behind, Jones finally began to pursue her passion and founded JC Jones winery in Sonoma County. "There's a time in your life when you feel you want to do something," explains Jones. "Everything is in there for a reason," explains Jones of her hand-selected blend. "But at the end of the day, I just wanted to create a wine that was delicious. Sometimes we overthink wines, and although my blend in Streamliner is complex, when it all comes together it is just so natural." With a 34% Chardonnay base acting as her "whiteboard," Jones made Streamliner exotic in nature with an enticing mid-palate and a wonderful texture that proves that good things happen to those who take chances in life. An aromatic, modern multi-variety white blend with spice and silky texture; clean, fresh and elegant with lovely balance and style; mellow but showing firm acidity a terrific food wine.
