She was 68 years old. A charter member of the Dallas chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier, Teitelbaum was a tour de force in the Texas food and wine scene, bringing credibility to the local food scene by her advocacy via "Les Dames," and her early innovation in pairing regional cuisines with world-class wines.
