On July 21, 1980, (coincidentally Williams' 29th birthday), after the conclusion of Mork & Mindy's second season, Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists called a joint TV/ theatrical strike after two months of Robin Williams Wowed 'Em U nforgettable. Irrepressible. Beloved. Just a few words describing the phenomenally gifted Robin Williams, who passed away Aug. 11, 2014, at the age of 63. He was so full of life that it seemed he would always be with us. Throughout his nearly four decade career he gave joy and delight to millions of fans around the world, putting not only his talent but his very heart into his art, both comic and serious.
