Irish Indulgence Fresh Irish dairy cream is about as pure as it gets. The cream that goes into Baileys Irish Cream (SRP $19.99) comes from 40,000 more-than-contented cows, pasture-fed on four types of grass on 1,500 specially selected family-owned farms on the Emerald Isle. The process used to blend the cream with the finest Irish whiskey is completely natural; the whiskey's alcohol content preserves the cream without the use of additives or preservatives, and complete freshness is guaranteed for two years from the time of bottling. The addition of cocoa, vanilla, caramel and sugar completes the famous taste of Baileys. "Baileys has become part of the holiday tradition across the country, as people bring it as gifts or toast holiday togetherness at home year after year," notes Bill Topf, VP, Baileys. "And the options in addition to the original—flavors with hints of caramel, coffee or mint—offer even more tasty choic- es to enjoy during the holidays." Diageo North America DID YOU KNOW? Baileys can be as fun to cook with as to drink. It can be used in muffins, cheesecake and desserts such as pots-de-crème. Recipes are available at www.baileys.com. American Beauty The brandy base for E & J Cask & Cream Chocolate Temptation (SRP $10.99) is distilled from California grapes and aged in oak before being blended with Dutch dairy cream and ultra-rich chocolate to create this tempting treat. The modest price point for the entire Cask & Cream line—which also includes Original and Caramel Temptation expressions—makes these highly-rated products amazing values for the money. Chocolate Temptation has a lovely, lush en- try on the palate, where it seduces the taste buds with rich chocolaty notes backed by toasty brandy flavors. E. & J. Gallo DID YOU KNOW? In addition to being one of the world's most important wine compa- nies, E. & J. Gallo also produces a complete range of fine California brandies—a VS, a VSOP and an XO.
