www.postmagazine.com 11 POST AUGUST 2014 RESELLER NEWS CULVER CITY, CA — Alt Systems (www.altsystems.com) recently co-sponsored the inaugural meeting of the LA Flame User Group with Autodesk and HP, which was held at Framestore LA in Culver City, CA. Over 120 members of the Flame user community attended the event, which was promoted as: "For Flame artists, by Flame artists." The second user group meeting is being planned for early October, following the IBC show in Amsterdam. At the initial meeting, ILM's Jeroen Schulte provided insight into how Flame and Flare are being used for look development on feature films. LA- based Greg-Paul Malone shared tips and tricks from his winning "One Frame of White" entry. The "One Frame of White" competition challenges Flame artists to take a single frame of white and create a final clip only using tools inside Flame. Product designer Philippe Soeiro shared techniques for com- positing and relighting using the new 3D Shape tool. "Alt Systems is happy we were able to help pull together the User's Group meeting," says Mike Ogorek, director of sales at Alt Systems. "Having over 100 Flame users in one room reminds me of some of the great meetings of the past at NAB. Networking and sharing information is something the users love to do. I'm sure the next meeting will be well attended." ALT SYSTEMS CO-SPONSORS L.A.
