Renaissance Hotels design is known for its chic sophistication with modern touches indigenous to each local. The Long Beach location's reno- vation included its 374 guestrooms including 14 suites and the Presidential Suite featuring stunning ocean and harbor views. In addition to the gue- strooms, the hotel's Club Lounge and fitness center have also been upgrad- ed and expanded. The lobby has been renovated as well and the pool will be refreshed in the second quarter. "We're excited to unveil our newly designed guest rooms, club lounge and fitness center to travelers from all over the world," said Pam Ryan, gen- eral manager. "Along with refreshed design, our upcoming lobby renovation will reflect the inspiration of Renaissance Hotels by offering unique discov- eries including emerging music, culinary, film and more." Creative Resource Associates, a California based firm, designed the guest rooms and suites. According to CRA principal Hydee D. Hirschm, "Long Beach is a dynamic city with a fun and kinetic energy. The room design at the Renaissance Long Beach was created to represent the sooth- ing, tranquil sea within the vibrancy of the city. The hotel design offers a peaceful retreat which mutes the noise of a busy day and the magical, soul- ful qualities of the sea." The color palette used incorporates colors of sea and sky including blues, whites, browns, and grays. Located in the heart of the entertainment district in downtown Long Beach, the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel is steps away from some of Long Beach's best dining, nightlife, and boutique shopping, and is also just one block from the Long Beach Convention Center. The hotel features dining at the Promenade Cafe and SIP Lounge, an out- door pool, fitness center, and 21,000 sq. ft. of event space.
