DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE THEME PARK OPENS ITS NEWEST GROUP FACILITY The Vineyard Room Offers a Distinctive New Golden State Experience Surrounded by vineyards that invoke the lush landscape of California's wine country, the new Vineyard Room at Disney's California Adventure is the perfect venue for VIP meal functions and other events of up to 125 guests. The new private-event space is also one of a few select theme park ven- ues that are available to host groups during normal park oper- ating hours. "Meeting planners will find the Vineyard Room unlike any other event space" said Robert Donahue, director of resort sales and services at the Disneyland Resort. "The setting is so rare because it provides a sense of exclusivity for groups, yet they are immersed in the ambience and energy of the theme park during normal operating hours." A private event at the Vineyard Room brings together food & beverage and themed décor inspired by the Golden State heritage. The end result is a warm and personal event for all in attendance. Located above the Wine Country Trattoria Restaurant in the Golden State section of Disney's California Adventure, the 2,500-sq. ft. pavilion setting provides a casual environment that will comfortably accommodate lunches, dinners, dessert parties and networking events. The Vineyard Room also offers two event settings in one, with its 1,700-sq. ft. restaurant setting adjoining 800-sq. ft. ter- race. Designed with private events in mind, the facility also features an on-site kitchen and built-in bar and easily accom- modates an audio-production system. The newly opened Vineyard Room is already a hit with planners and attendees. One of the first groups to use the new facility was Towne AllPoints Communications, a leader in providing companies with direct response communication solutions. The company recently hosted a special private luncheon at the Vineyard Room to recognize 35 key partners. The Vineyard Room joins an impressive list of private- event spaces that the Disneyland Resort offers to groups. And theme park events are just one in a long line of benefits and amenities available to groups meeting at the Disneyland Resort. Both the Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure theme parks offer ideal settings for Disney Institute team-building activities and professional develop- ment experiences. Meeting attendees also have access to a special Twilight Ticket, an after 4 p.m. theme park admission pass, and a host of other meeting/convention tickets that are not available to the general public.
