people DADE ORGERON Commercial post house Charlex in NYC has signed creative director Dade Orgeron to its team.The self-taught pro brings a strong technical foundation, with experience in print, multimedia and Web design. In addition to being a generalist, Orgeron is also skilled in compositing and 3D. Prior to joining Charlex, Orgeron was CD/VFX di- rector for Tronic. He also worked at Superfad and spent time at Digital Kitchen Chicago and Seattle as senior CG/VFX director. ORGERON SUZETTE FERGUSON Santa Clara, CA-based Assimilate has named Suzette Ferguson director of North American sales. She is responsible for building and oversee- ing all customer relationships in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Based in LA, Ferguson will manage Scratch sales, service and support. She brings 27 years experience and an intimate knowledge of file-based DI workflows. Prior to joining Assimilate, Ferguson was sales manager for North and South America at Digital Vision. Her career also includes time with Silicon Graphics, Quantel and Avid. FERGUSON JAKE NAVA Creative media production company Believe Media has added director Jake Nava to its tal- ent roster. Nava brings a diverse portfolio of work that includes campaigns for Armani, HSBC, Axe, Bacardi, Revlon and Puma. He has also directed music videos for artists Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Usher, Kanye West, Pink and the Rolling Stones. Beyoncé’s Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) won the MTV “Video of the Year” in 2009. More recently, Nava has worked on Kanye West’s new single Monster. Nava also directs feature films. NAVA JOHN GREENE Online video industry veteran John Greene has joined Sorenson Media in San Diego as VP of worldwide sales. He previous held leadership po- sitions at DivX and Akamai, and will now be re- sponsible for all sales activities for the company in the US and around the world. Greene brings 17 years of experience to his new position. BRIAN MURRAY Visual Data Media Services in Burbank has named Brian Murray senior VP.The company is a provider of integrated, end-to-end post solu- tions. RICH FLIER Venice, CA-based production company Mother- ship has hired videogame industry veteran Rich Flier as executive producer. A 15-year games in- dustry veteran, Flier joins Mothership from Secret Identity, a games marketing company he co- founded. He simultaneously held the dual role of VP of interactive entertainment at 3D video imag- ing company 3DV Systems. Flier has worked on both the marketing/advertising and producer/de- velopment sides of the games business, and his career includes a stint at DreamWorks Interactive, Creative Domain’s interactive entertainment divi- sion, which is now Trailer Park, Sony Online Enter- tainment and DDB Worldwide. RANDOLPH DAVID RANDOLPH Video and film integration firm Advanced Sys- tems Group (ASG) in Emeryville, CA, has hired David Randolph as part of its technical services team.An 18-year veteran engineer in the broad- cast, film and videogame industries, he will work directly with clients while performing system in- stallations and training. Randolph will also provide consulting support and equipment recommenda- tions for the ASG sales staff. Prior to joining ASG, Randolph worked with G4 Media, Sony Computer Entertainment and Savannah College of Art and Design, among others. Most recently, he served as broadcast apps engineer at Snader and Associates. ROUSE NORMAN ROUSE Reading, UK-based Snell has appointed Nor- man Rouse market development manager, in charge of building the company’s visibility in the global broadcast and media marketplaces. He comes to the company from Sony Professional, where he was responsible for defining, develop- ing and delivering enterprise-wide solutions to all sectors of the A/V marketplace.
