people ALEXX HENRY Tool has signed artist Alexx Henry, allowing the studio to further expand its work in non-traditional media. Henry has run his own studio in LA since 2001. His directorial work blends live action and technology. Henry has created interactive spreads, including an iPad article for Viv Magazine, as well as a motion cover for Outside magazine. HENRY JOSH LAWSON Digital creative services agency AvatarLabs in Encino, CA, has named Josh Lawson interactive producer. He joins the company from Paramount Pictures, where he held the same post. Lawson will be responsible for developing and implementing digital and social media marketing campaigns pro- moting theatrical and home entertainment re- leases from the company’s clients.While at Para- mount, Lawson worked on the online theatrical marketing campaigns for Paranormal Activity, Star Trek,The Last Airbender and The Lovely Bones. LAWSON PETER LAMBERT Marquis Broadcast, a Pangbourne, UK-based company specializing in content workflows and media integration software, has appointed Peter Lambert sales director. Lambert will be respon- sible for all sales activities outside the US for Mar- quis’ full range of broadcast and post production workflow integration products. Lambert previously held senior positions with Bright Systems, Nucoda and Avid Technology. More recently, he spent time in Asia helping to build sales opportunities for local companies developing emerging technologies for content distribution. LEVINSON KARIN LEVINSON Gravity VP of features and television Karin Levinson is heading up the company’s new West Coast office. Since 2005, Levinson has been re- sponsible for spearheading new business opportu- nities at Gravity in the areas of visual effects and motion graphic design. She led Gravity’s expan- sionary efforts in 2007 into Stamford, CT. Prior to her work with Gravity, Levinson was an executive producer and VFX producer at Black Box Digital. She has also worked as an independent producer. He will remain in Santa Monica and work through Hyena, but will also travel to the Dallas and Austin studios to edit. Salmon has commercial, feature, short and Web editorial experience. Prior to Hyena, he spent 10 years in the LA office of Lost Planet Editorial. His work at Hyena included spots and Web projects for Chevy, Disney,TJ Maxx, and AT&T. His feature credits include Any Given Sunday, Lightning in a Bot- tle and Bastards of the Party. ADAM WOLF WOLF LA-based independent publishing and licensing company PigFactory Music has promoted Adam Wolf to VP, creative. He joined the com- pany in 2006 and previously served as senior cre- ative director.Wolf will now oversee all aspects of marketing and licensing of the company’s music for film, television, interactive and advertising. He will also proactively seek new songs and catalogs to add to PigFactory’s roster.Wolf began his career working on indie films and became a producer with director Christopher Coppola.He went on to work as a music supervisor, producer and director of films and music videos. He was also involved in various aspects of post production. JERNIGAN NICK JERNIGAN Pixeldust Studios in Bethesda, MD, has named Nick Jernigan visual effects supervisor of the company’s newly-expanded Manhattan office. Jernigan is a Maryland native who worked for Na- tional Geographic Television for four years, ulti- mately holding the position of senior visual effects artist. In 2005, he won an Emmy Award for “Out- standing Individual Achievement in a Craft: Graphic and Artistic Design” for work on the TV program Predators at War.
