people Harrington Christopher Harrington Christopher Harrington, former creative director for MartianCraft, has joined Imaginary Forces in the new position of director of user experience and technology. He will oversee the strategic direction, growth and operation of Imaginary Forces' interactive capabilities. Harrington brings 20 years of success to Imaginary Forces' New York office from MartianCraft, where he oversaw the design and user experience of Briefs, a Mac and iOS application that allows people to create native interactive prototypes for iPhone and iPad. Prior to his time at MartianCraft, he was the lead information architect at Behavior. Matt Thunell Zoic Studios, which has locations in Culver City, CA, and in Vancouver, has added Matt Thunell as executive producer of their commercial and games division. Thunell has over 12 years of experience, working on commercials, features, music videos, special venue projects, and interactive media. He got his start as an intern at Lucasfilm and later secured a position at ILM. His career includes time at The Orphanage, Radium/ Reel FX, Motion Theory/Mirada and Whitehouse/Carbon VFX. Thunell Mark Phuttal Albany, NY's Working Pictures has added Mark Phuttal to their staff as video editor and motion graphics designer. Phuttal started his career in Bangkok, Thailand, and relocated to the United States as an editor in 1998. He is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology, and has worked with clients that include Cover Girl, Nokia, KFC and Toyota. Since joining Working Pictures, Phuttal has completed TV spots for St. Peter's Health Partners' "More People in More Places" campaign and MVP Health Care's Don't Slow Down. William Hamm International commercial production company Cap Gun Collective has hired veteran TV production executive William Hamm, who joins the collective as executive producer for original content at Cap Gun TV, the firm's hybrid production studio. Hamm brings more than 15 years of experience in all areas of filmed entertainment to his new LA-based position. He comes to the company from Starz Media, where he was executive VP of originals production and development. Hamm Berger Nina Davenport Visual effects and CG animation company Clockwork VFX in NYC has added veteran agency producer Nina Davenport to its team. Davenport comes to the eight-year-old studio following nearly five years as a producer at Uproar, the New York-based kid/family centered marketing agency. She began her career in 1987 at the now defunct agency Griffin Bacal, New York, where she remained as a producer for 7 years. She moved onto Grey Advertising, New York, in 1994 before joining D'Arcy, New York, as an EP. In 2007 she joined Uproar. Stephen Berger Editor Stephen Berger has joined Cut+Run and will be available to work from any of the company's offices, including those in Los Angeles, New York, and London. Berger's credits include work for Activision, Xbox, BMW, Sony and Ugg. He also garnered attention for his work on Logorama, which earned the Academy Award for "Best Animated Short." Robertson spent more than 25 years with Technicolor, first heading up its Vancouver facilities, and then moving to Hollywood, where he oversaw the expansion of Technicolor's North American headquarters. As GM of Technicolor Hollywood, he oversaw completion services for feature films and TV series simultaneously. In addition, Robertson was also project manager in the build out of Technicolor's 115,000 squarefoot North American headquarters. Burt Young Reading, UK-based Snell has appointed Burt Young sales manager for the US Northeast region. He will be responsible for driving sales growth and strengthening partner relationships throughout the Northeast. Prior to joining Snell, Young was an account executive with Harris Broadcast.
