postings 'The Wes Anderson Collection' N EW YORK — Agency Outsider ( recently worked with Sirk Productions to create a new trailer that promotes the new book by Matt Seitz for Abrams Books, "The Wes Anderson Collection." The team spent three weeks producing the trailer, which appears on the Abrams Books site (, YouTube and Amazon, among other outlets. Happy Tree Friends The directive was to capture the spirit and style of Wes Anderson's work, as well as the art of the book itself. Character designs and illustrations were created in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Stop-motion animation was created in Adobe After Effects. The application was also used for compositing. Character animation was performed in Flash. Adobe's Premiere was used for editing. Kristian Fraga directed the project and co-produced it with Marc Perez. Michael Grand was the associate producer. BB Enriquez handled the edit with Rachel Ambelang assisting. Kevin Sweeney served as Web designer. Grading Captain Phillips L ONDON — Company 3 London ( used Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve as the color grading solution on the film adaptation of "Captain Phillips," which stars Tom Hanks. The film comes four years after American shipping captain Richard Phillips and his crew were hijacked by Somali pirates. Paul Greengrass directed the new feature, with Barry Akroyd serving as cinematographer. Color correction was performed by Company 3's senior colorist, Rob Pizzey. Pizzey says a challenging aspect of the grade involved the film's climax, which takes place at night. Most of the climax was actually shot during the day, so he was challenged with matching shots, from a variety of formats, with the night footage. N EW YORK — Cinedigm has released Happy Tree Friends Complete Disaster, a collection of the cult, animated series that appears on the Mondo Media animation channel ( The package is now available on DVD and for digital platforms.  Happy Tree Friends was created by Rhode Montijo, Aubrey Ankrum and Kenn Navarro. The series features cute and cuddly animals whose daily adventures always end up going horribly wrong. The series combines cute forest animals with extreme graphic violence, and some laughs too.  The series is produced By Christina Chavez, Julie Stroud, David Ichioka, Zdravomir "Z" Staykov and April Pesa. The DVD collection, which is being distributed by Cinedigm, comprises four discs with all 13 half-hour episodes. Seventy-five HD shorts are also included.  Adobe tools, including Flash, are used to create the art and animation for Happy Tree Friends. Each three-minute short takes approximately one month to produce. Sound designer/engineer Jim Lively primarily uses Pro Tools to record, design and mix voices, music and sound effects for the show. Voice recording is done at Outpost Studios with Lively at the helm. Jerome Rossen from Freshmade Music composes all the original music for each episode. Human Finance N EW YORK — ShootersNYC ( was tapped by ad agency Gyro for extensive post production services on a new, seven-spot campaign for TD Ameritrade. The package of :60, :30 and :15 spots use a series of NYC-based vignettes to bring a more personal look to the world of investing. The TD Ameritrade campaign was shot by director Dana Neibert. The Shooters editing team included Dave Bradley and Anthony Marinelli. Senior sound designer Bob Schachner handled the audio mix. In addition to sound and editorial, Shooters also provided color services. The company's New York and Philadelphia studios both contributed to the campaign, which includes the spots Independence Day (:30, :15), Last Time a Number (:30, :15), and Manifesto :60.
