Debuting in 1995, the SAG Awards is the first and only televised awards show to exclusively honor performers. Due to its environmentally friendly efforts, the Environmental Media Association honored the show with the EMA Green Production Award at the 23rd Annual Environmental Media Awards on Oct. 19. With more than 165,000 members, SAG-AFTRA represents a vast pool of industry professionals; this is just one of the reasons that the SAG Awards is so widely celebrated. The awards acknowledge what all performers know: that acting is a collaborative art. Nominations will be announced Dec. 11 at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, telecast live on TNT and webcast live on tntdrama.com and tbs.com.
