people DENISE SANTE Nomad, with offices in NY, LA and London, has added Denise Sante as executive producer. Sante will focus on helping Nomad's team of editors and post specialists, getting the most out of their skill sets. She has worked in New York since 2001, and prior to joining Nomad, worked in sales and representation for NYC's Sound Lounge. Sante also spent time as a sales rep at GO Film, A List, DHMA and Rocket Music. SANTE KOOB ZWier PETE KOOB Cut+Run has added editor Pete Koob to its San Francisco office, but he is also available in the studio's other locations in LA, New York, London, Austin and Asia. He joins Cut+Run following time at Cleaver, the in-house post facility within agency Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, where he was director of editorial. Early on, Koob attended Stanford for creative writing and then moved to New York to be a part of the intensive DGA Assistant Directing program. Later he moved to San Francisco to focus on editing. IRMA RODRIGUEZ Bi-coastal production company Uber Content has hired Irma Rodriguez as director of West Coast sales and marketing. She brings her experience representing top players in the industry, which began at MJZ in 2004. From there, she freelanced in production until she took a position at Anonymous Content in 2006, working in sales. She became a full-fledged rep in 2009. In 2010, she took a West Coast sales and development position, representing Epoch Films, Imperial Woodpecker, Arts & Sciences, Farm League and Arcade Edit. GEORGE ZWier London's LipSync Post has recruited VFX supervisor George Zwier, who joins the studio from Double Negative, where he worked on feature film projects, including Thor: The Dark World. His career also includes time at leading visual effects facilities such as Industrial Light & Magic and Weta Digital. NORRA ABDUL RAHIM, ANDY NICHOLAS Senior executive producer Norra Abdul Rahim and head of CG Andy Nicholas have joined Rushes' London-based VFX and CG team. Nicholas is an award-winning technical director and senior 3D lead specializing in commercials. He joins Rushes from The Mill to lead the new CG department. FOWLER BATTEN DAVID FOWLER London's ERA, an IT and media technology reseller, has hired David Fowler in the role of business development. Based in London's Soho, he will direct ERA's creative solutions and work closely with clients to deliver media and VFX solutions. Fowler has worked with companies such as MPC, Rainmaker,Vanguard Animation and The Jim Henson Company. His most recent role was head of technology/MD of Reliance UK. KEVIN BATTEN Logan  has added ex-Superfad partner Kevin Batten as its LA managing director. Batten will focus on maintaining the studio's strong culture of teamwork while adding new directorial and design talent. He has AICP, Clio and Cannes award-winning commercial campaigns for Visa Olympics, PlayStation, Sprint and Target to his credit. Prior to Superfad, Batten held positions at Brand New School, Deutsch and Digital Kitchen. He studied broadcast journalism at Marietta College and holds a media arts degree from the University of South Carolina. JO ARGHIRIS Jo Arghiris has joined The Mill, LA from the company's New York office, where she was an executive producer and head of production. Prior to that, she worked at The Mill, London in various capacities. In her new role, she will develop new client relationships and grow existing business within the Los Angeles market. ARGHIRIS DAVID EMBLEY LA's Look Effects has hired financial management consultant David Embley as its director of finance. With over 15 years experience, Embley brings extensive accounting knowledge and expertise to his new appointment. He began his new position at the end of July.
