The film picks up where the 2009 release left off and centers around a land that's be transformed into the home of food/animal hybrids. The Sony Pictures Imageworks (www.imageworks.com) visual effects team worked to create the look of 2.5D-animated paintings, complete with brushstrokes. Customized versions of Autodesk's Maya and The Foundry's Katana were used on the film.
