The 10-bit, 4:2:2 flash disk recorder is a smaller, lighter version of the Ki Pro tapeless recorder that captures to the Apple ProRes 422 codec directly from a camera. The Ki Pro Mini can mount easily to a digital camera or accessory. Its 10-bit 4:2:2 files are captured to Compact Flash cards and are then immediately ready for editing. Ki Pro Mini has support for SDI and HDMI cameras. The unit also offers two channels of balanced XLR audio, with switch se- lectable line/mic levels, and eight channels of embedded digital audio over SDI and HDMI. Well suited for an Apple file-based workflow, the Ki Pro Mini records native Apple ProRes 422 QuickTime files, which are for- matted as HFS+ volumes that can be instantly read when con- nected to a Mac computer with an off-the-shelf CF card reader. The VXL-150HD serves as a univer- sal format converter, scan converter and frame synchronizer with noise reduction and image en- hancement capabili- ties. Features in- clude flexible as- pect ratio conver- sion and adjustable pan, zoom and trim; closed caption sup- port in HD CEA708 and SD CEA608 for- mats; and VITC em- bedded timecode support. The VideoExcel VXL-75HD scan converter and frame synchronizer is a true broadcast grade computer graphics-to-video scan converter. The VXL-100HD format converter of- fers up/down/cross conversion from SD to HD, HD to SD, and HD to HD with per-pixel motion adaptive process- ing. Realtime, per- pixel motion adap- tive temporal and film noise reduction are provided as standard, as is SD MPEG2 codec noise reduction.
