BY PATRICIA ANN JORDAN Black Meetings & Tourism Magazine (BM&T) for devoting space and effort to this column. Not to be un-modest, but I am so proud of myself. These H years I have worked diligently as a freelance writer, never giv- ing up, with editors (like Solomon Herbert) having faith in me and above all, by God’s grace. Not to glorify the process, for it has been quite challenging at times, but still a process worth the effort. These last couple of years have also been challenging for Black Meetings & Tourism. The tourism industry was affected not only by the 911 attacks, but also by the stricken economy. BM&T has managed to stay afloat and maintain the same level of professionalism and good journalism, by which followers know them. I ask that the Museums and museum lovers who benefit from this column please offer your support to this magazine which has so greatly enriched your lives. Please contact Solomon or Gloria Herbert to see in what areas you can best support. By email: blackMandT@aol.com or glo@bmt- mag.com. By phone: (818) 709-0646. My thought is that the many museums who are featured in this column could consider advertising with BM&T to bring in much needed revenue. THANK YOU BLACK MEETINGS AND TOURISM MAGAZINE for offering this column to readers over all these years. You’ve been reading my columns for ten plus years now. My humble thanks go out to you. My humble thanks and appreciation also goes out to and letting the WORLD know of the many artists and artists contributions. To name a few. In addition, this column has been so valuable in keying in on African Americans’ contributions to not only America but to the Diaspora and world at large. BM&T and I, though, have been careful to make sure that all manner of museums and the arts have been featured, as we live in a multi-cultural and diverse society. BM&T and I continue to welcome your input, comments and suggestions for this column. Over the years, I have written on so many museums and subjects related to museums from information, press releases and ideas received from my faithful readers and museum representatives. Not only have I learned and grown from this process, but my ever faithful readers have benefited, as well. I want to continue to support the world of museums by writ- ing this column, thereby encouraging others to support them. My hope is that this column continues to thrive and readers will enjoy it for many more years to come. At this time, BM&T could use some help in making this happen. I wrote this column from my heart. My hope is that it reaches yours. It is my desire that “Museum Notes” will continue to be an indelible part of the legacy that BM&T has created in bringing solid, valid, interesting, and sometimes thought provoking infor- mation to the meetings, conventions and tourism industry and to people as a whole. I am so very proud to share in that legacy. A legacy which has become a part of my legacy. Please, let’s support BM&T, in any way we can. Thank you from Museum Notes editor, Patricia Ann Jordan.
