Born in Boston and educated at Harvard University, Haskell began his acting career on stage, winning his first TV role in Death Valley Days in 1964. Dozens of TV appearances followed on series including Ben Casey, Combat!, Lassie, Te Big Valley, Mannix, Medical Center, Barnaby Jones, Vega$, Murder, She Wrote and the 2009 series finale of ER. Horne was SAG’s first African American board member. Horne’s career began as a 16-year-old chorus girl and would go on to span films, radio, TV, recording, nightclubs, concert halls and Broadway. She was signed by MGM to a seven-year contract in the 1940s, when no other black performers were under long-term contracts at the major studios. Horne went on to become one of the best-known African American performers in the country following her role in the musical Stormy Weather (1943). LARRY KEITH, a SAG National Board member (1973-2001) and New York Division president died July 17 at age 79. Born in Brooklyn, Keith became a star of television and stage, perhaps best remembered for his role as “Nick Davis” on All My Children, for which he was nominated for two Daytime Emmys. In recent years he played key supporting characters in the Tony Award-winning Titanic and the Tony-nominated Caroline, or Change. As a SAG leader, he served on numerous negotiating committees and was a trustee of the Screen Actors Guild- Producers Pension and Health Plans. Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images
