Where Sand and Cruzan Meet T here are few spots in Malibu, CA more scenic and peaceful than Paradise Cove, a private beachfront compound that combines relaxing on the sand with fun in the sun—and of course, killer food and cocktails. Although the restaurant is a historic fi xture in the area, there’s no lack of forward momentum, and Cruzan rums have recently stolen the spotlight at this eatery. From the restaurant’s sig- nature Mai Tais, to Daiquiris, and Piña Coladas served in a hollowed-out pineapple, Paradise Cove has found applications for Cruzan’s extensive lineup, including the brand’s newest, spiced expression, Cruzan 9 (see story on p. 58). –Rachel Burkons C M Y CM MY Chris Sessa, General Manager at Malibu’s Paradise Cove, enjoys one of the restaurant’s famed Stawberrry Daiquiris.
