Users can load and save adjust- ment data/adjustment profiles, measure and indicate the maximum and minimum luminance, and automatically adjust white balance and gamma correction. JVC's free Monitor Calibration Software is available to registered DT-V Series monitor customers at http://pro.jvc.com/calibrate. JVC Professional Products; www.jvc.com/pro AnimAtion 2D/3D Dimension Toon Boom Animation has developed a 2D/3D integration module for its Toon Boom Harmony and Digital Pro soft- ware. The optional module expands the feature sets of Toon Boom Harmony and Digital Pro to deliver a single, integrated production environment. The new solution provides a true 3D space, as well as the ability to import and manipulate 3D objects, move and rotate any 2D plane three dimen- sionally, combine 3D and 2D elements, display 2D/3D object intersections, and animate in real time. Users can render 2D and 3D objects with Toon Boom's internal render engine, and control third-party 3D renders within Toon Boom's pipeline. The integration module further enables users to import and manipulate 3D objects and to assemble and rig 3D objects directly within Harmony and Digital Pro. The native Xtra plug-in for Director Versions 8.5 through 11 enables users to import assets from industry-standard 3D file formats and multimedia authoring packages. Users can access all supported Okino 3D import converters directly from the Director user interface. Converted 3D assets can then be embedded into a Director cast member or linked to external Shockwave 3D files. The plug-in features added processing functionality, such as automated poly- gon reduction, model resizing, automatic light placement, hierarchy compression and optimization, and access to polygon processing tools within the Director inter- face as part of the 3D file import process. PolyTrans for Adobe Director carries a base price of $395.
