Version 4.0 employs E-on software's Spectral 2 engine, capable of producing realistic environments with volumetric clouds, accurate light disper- sion, and other natural phenomena. For the simulation and rendering of atmospheric effects, Ozone 4.0 features Spectral 2 and Volumetric atmosphere models, optimized volumetric cloud layers for real-world 3D clouds or low-lying fog, faster rendering speeds, animated clouds and sunsets, and a library of more than 150 predefined atmospheres. Available in English for Windows XP and Vista (32- and 64-bit versions) and Mac OS X 10.4 (Universal Binary), the Ozone 4.0 Open Beta is a free, fully functional version of Ozone 4.0 that will expire after the beta period.
