Since 1992, the DGA's Meet the Nominees: Theatrical Feature Film symposiums have featured
the Directors nominated for our prestigious Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Theatrical
Feature Film Award. One of the Guild's most popular offerings, former DGA Special Projects
Committee Chair Jeremy Kagan has served as the moderator since its inception. Realizing the
wealth of information about the film process disseminated in these in-depth conversations
with some of the finest filmmakers of our era, in 2006 Kagan created the first compilation of
material from these panels and Directors Close Up was born. Now this incredible collection of
