O C T O B E R 2 0 2 6 I 1 3 • OCTOBER UPCOMING EVENTS • The DGA Director Development Initiative presents: Understanding the Director's Creative Rights Creative Rights are fundamental to the realization of the Director's artistic vision, and it is often one of the most important contractual provisions negotiated during every contract negotiation cycle. But many Directors do not have a clear understanding of their Creative Rights and how the DGA can support them in securing those rights on set. This Director Development Initiative lab will walk members through the basics of Creative Rights in television directing, dispel common misconceptions around how these rights exist on set, and highlight recent changes negotiated in our current contract. This session will feature Director Tessa Blake in conversation with DGA Associate Executive Director Daniel Tenkman. The DDI Labs focus on education and career development for members interested in episodic television and is designed to provide current information on the Director's craft delivered by experienced Episodic Television Directors. Thursday, October 22 5:00 p.m. (PT) 8:00 p.m. (ET) Online To RSVP, please log-in as a member at www.dga.org/Events and click on Upcoming Events.
