This premier event showcased the union's commitment to independent cinema through two sponsored panels: Debunk The Funk, which explored working under SAG-AFTRA contracts, and Small Budgets, Big Roles, featuring performers in indie film. The day concluded with a vibrant post-panel networking cocktail party, providing a dedicated space for members and festival attendees to mix, mingle and cultivate professional connections. ● ● Atlanta Local Leaders at Industry Night For more than a decade, Arizona-Utah Local leaders have represented SAG-AFTRA at Industry Night, the biggest film networking event of the year held during the Phoenix Film Festival on April 10. Past President and Local Board member Joe Corcoran, third from left, has coordinated the member volunteers to ensure knowledgeable friendly faces host the table where numerous people seek information about union contracts and membership. Members volunteering this year included, from left, National Board member and Arizona-Utah Local President Amanda Melby; Local committee members Jennifer Pfalzgraff, Jeff Unterkofler and Natasha Bachour; and Arizona-Utah Local Vice President, Northern Arizona Sandy Kim. ● Arizona- Utah Members Seize the Day! Held in the Kauerr Resource Center, presenters and SAG-AFTRA members Tony Castillo, Cedric Young and Angela Morris engaged participants on topics ranging from headshots to social media presence, sharing how they, as performers, can better market themselves. ● Chicago Union on the Carpet at SeriesFest Colorado Local President Sonny G., left, and Local Board member Pam Renall walk the red carpet at the 10th annual SeriesFest in May.
