I SAG-AFTRA I have always loved the magazine — high quality, informative and entertaining. I'm proud to be a part of it. Leslie Ivarson Chicago Local COOL FACTOR I read SAG-AFTRA magazine cover to cover, best industry intel. Only flaw: I've never been cool enough to make the pages yet. Ryan Glover Los Angeles Local INSPIRATIONAL The SAG-AFTRA magazine is most informative and inspirational. Tommy Bayiokos Chicago Local GOSPEL OF MEMBER LIVES SAG-AFTRA magazine is a beautiful aspiration. It disproportionally emphasizes successful outliers because they are noteworthy. But members deserve to know failure outliers too. [The union] loses credibility when it hides who's less likely to recoup dues or hit healthcare minimums. Those outliers should be trumpeted just as loudly. Arm them with data to know their union truth. Tell their gospel on the mountain because it's not the gospel of leader achievement — it's the gospel of member lives. Not one word of that will be printed. In the words of the Cajun cook, "I guarantee it!" Tay Zonday Seattle Local FOCUS ON DISABILITY As a SAG-AFTRA member for over 25 years, I enjoy seeing the magazine highlight the accomplishments of our fellow performers and keep members informed about our industry. As a performer with disabilities, I hope to see even more focus on disability inclusion and opportunities both in front of and behind the camera. Authentic representation matters, and talented disabled performers deserve a seat at the table. The more inclusive our industry becomes, the stronger our storytelling becomes. Proud SAG-AFTRA member. Proud performer. Proud advocate. Darren Dione Aquino Miami Local - 9
