GATHERINGS OF FRIENDS
The annual retirees luncheon has grown
into one of the most anticipated events on
the MPEG calendar. It's a chance for retired
members to re-connect and celebrate ca-
reers and solidarity. This year's event again
featured a greeting from event founder Bill
Elias, recently named the next recipient of
the Editors Guild Fellowship and Service
Award (story, page 18). ■
