n July 4, 2026 the United States cele
brated its 250th anniversary and a pro
found national jubilant awareness
unfolded. At the forefront of this celebration
stands Black America 250, a groundbreaking
multiyear media and marketing initiative
aimed at illuminating the rich impact of Black
history, culture, and achie
vements across the nation
while envisioning the next
250 years of our contribu
tions.
Black America 250 is
more than a commemo
ration—it's a testament
to the enduring legacy of
those who have gone
before us embodying the
spirit of reflection, resili
ency, celebration, and
inspiration. By highlight
ing this journey, we invite
all Americans to explore
and embrace the diverse
tapestry of our nation's
true history. Weaving
together stories of strug
gle and perseverance and
achievement and tri
umph, shifting the perva
sive paradigm of Black America's non exis
tent contribution to this nation — reclaiming
our place central to the narrative, rising to
greater heights.
According to the America 250
Congressional Commission, the U.S. Semiquincenten
nial Commemoration culminates on July 4, 2026, and
officially concludes December 31, 2026.
