The software can be used to create new keyframe animation, as well as to clean up and edit imported animation. Cascadeur was originally developed as an internal production tool that would help Nekki create their action-heavy games, which include Shadow Fight and Vector. Today, it is well suited to serve as a professional animation application for game developers, animators and studios that need fast itera- tion, physically plausible body mechanics and editable keyframe animation. Cascadeur supports common production exchange formats, and Version 2026.1 adds a dedicated Unreal Engine Live Link workflow for realtime previewing in Unreal Engine. The company offers several licens- ing options, ranging from free for non-commercial use, to $8/month for hobbyists, to $33/month for professionals. There are also studio and educational options available. ELEVATE.IO INTEGRATES EPIDEMIC SOUND CATALOG LONDON — Elevate.io (www.elevate.io), a division of Blackbird plc., has partnered with Epidemic Sound, a music-licensing platform for creators and brands. The partnership integrates Epidemic Sound's expansive royal- ty-free music catalog directly into Elevate.io, the online collaborative video editing platform. Available immediately, this integration gives Elevate.io users the ability to in- stantly access Epidemic Sound's catalog of music and sound effects within the platform's editing interface. By owning all the rights to its catalog, Epidemic Sound makes music licensing simple. Users can search, preview and add tracks seamlessly, with licensing of the music — which can be tailored to users re- quirements — handled when the video is exported. As an editing platform, Elevate.io provides editing tools in the browser, enabling both short-form and long-form content creation, complete with tran- sitions, effects, color correction and visual looks. There are no downloads or in- stallations required. Elevate.io has plans that start at just $10 per month. Users are given 100 tokens each month, which can be used for the sound library, and additional tokens are available for purchase. WACOM UNVEILS NEXT-GENERATION PEN TOKYO — Wacom (wacom.com) recently introduced the Art Pen 2, a ro- tation-sensitive pen designed for digital artists seeking precise, expressive control. The new model enables artists to vary the thickness and character of their lines by rotating the pen in their hand, much like how traditional artists adjust the angle of a pencil, flat brush, felt marker or calligraphy pen. The Wacom Art Pen 2 features Wacom's battery-free EMR technology and is equipped with three buttons. It offers up to 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity, and a built-in nib holder stores three spare nibs. Artists can choose from three newly-developed nib types — Art Pen 2 Carbon Shaft POM Nibs, Art Pen 2 POM Nibs and Art Pen 2 Felt Nibs — each engineered to deliver a distinct drawing feel. The pen ships with an Art Pen 2 Carbon Shaft POM nib installed. The nibs are exclusive to the Art Pen 2 and are not interchangeable with Wacom's Pro Pen 3 nibs. Additionally, the Art Pen 2 does not support inter- changeable button plates, grips or balance weights. Availability, according to Wacom, is "soon."
