It was a wonderful surprise to learn that famed
photographer Gregory Crewdson and his production team
were coming to Truth or Consequences, NM, to create
an image using Joaquin Phoenix's sheriff character, Joe
Cross, as the subject. It marked the first time Crewdson
has created an original work for a film.
