8 • LMGI COMPASS | Spring 2026 IN THE NEWS LMGI 2026 Board Election Results The Location Managers Guild International has announced its 2026–2027 Board of Directors, marking a leadership transition after five years under President John Rakich. The new Board reflects the ongoing international expansion of the Guild, including working location managers from Wales, England, Alberta and Vancouver, Canada, as well as across the United States in major film hubs such as Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. Taking on the role of President is Danny Finn (Hacks, Freakier Friday, HER), joined by Executive Officers Robin Macdonald (1st Vice President), Ryan Schaetzle (2nd Vice President), Andrea Keener (Secretary) and Edward Mazurek (Treasurer). Finn steps into the presidency at a moment of visible industry change. "We're entering a moment where 'gray stages' and generative AI are being positioned as alternatives to the real-world work our members do every day," he said. "That only underscores the urgency of what we do as a guild." For Finn, the path forward is rooted in reinforcing the Guild's core mission. "The Location Managers Guild International is focused on championing the work, celebrating our members, elevating their creative contributions, and continuing to push for authentic, location- driven storytelling across the industry," he said. "Technology can imitate what's already been seen, but it can't discover what hasn't been found. We're out there every day finding new worlds, building lasting relationships with communities and helping bring real economic impact to the areas where we work." Among those returning to Board service are founding LMGI members Mike Fantasia (Top Gun: Maverick, Killers of the Flower Moon, Memoirs of a Geisha) and Stevie Nelson (Why Women Kill, 13 Reasons Why, House, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2), whose careers have helped shape the craft across film and television. Ken Brooker (Resident Alien, Bates Motel) also returns to the Board. Reelected directors Michael Glaser (One Battle After Another, Licorice Pizza, Euphoria), Eric Klein (The Equalizer, The Crowded Room, The Flight Attendant) and Ryan Schaetzle (The Blind Side, Loki, Peacemaker) provide continuity across major production centers, while current directors Andrea Keener, Angus Ledgerwood, Robin Macdonald, Edward Mazurek, Mo Qazzaz, Scott Trimble and Kay Pointing Wilson continue their terms, representing a broad ROBIN MACDONALD 1ST VICE PRESIDENT RYAN SCHAETZLE 2ND VICE PRESIDENT ANDREA KEENER SECRETARY EDWARD MAZUREK TREASURER MIKE FANTASIA BOARD MICHAEL GLASER BOARD ERIC KLEIN BOARD ANGUS LEDGERWOOD BOARD MO QAZZAZ BOARD SCOTT TRIMBLE BOARD DANNY FINN PRESIDENT
