LMGI COMPASS | Spring 2026 • 7 Rebekka Rea/LMGI Raised as a Navy brat with no permanent ZIP code, Rebekka "Bekks" Rea learned early that home is wherever the work takes you. Location management, it turns out, was inevitable. Bekks launched her career as a regional promotion rep for Island and IRS Records, moved into broadcast media as national sales manager for iHeart Radio, then co-founded and led two fintech trade associations—the Retail Gift Card Association and the Financial Fraud Consortium— before settling in Oklahoma, and film became her ultimate calling. Now a credentialed LMGI location manager and scout based in Oklahoma City, her credits include the blockbuster Twisters and the critically acclaimed Keep Quiet. Rebekka has also worked on the episodic The Lowdown, as well as several national commercials. Knowing that every day will be unlike the last excites her, and finding creative solutions to unexpected challenges is where she truly thrives. A passionate advocate for growing the Oklahoma film community, she is an active member of the Oklahoma Film and Motion Picture Association, a committed supporter of Oklahoma film incentives, and an active volunteer with the LMGI. John Lucas/LMGI John Lucas is an Albuquerque, New Mexico–based location manager and scout with 19 years of experience in the industry. An IATSE Local 480 member, he won an LMGI Award in 2022 for Outstanding Locations in a Period Television Series for his work on Stranger Things Season 4. John's other credits include the feature films Protector, Eddington, Americana, The Comeback Trail, The Space Between Us, and the TV series National Treasure: Edge of History, Get Shorty, Roswell, New Mexico and Longmire. John has six kids, and they all like to ride bikes, snow ski and hike. John invites you to visit New Mexico, where he can put together a great itinerary tailored to your interests. Dodd Vickers/LMGI Georgia native Dodd Vickers, a seasoned location manager, has left his mark on more than 60 film and television productions, crafting iconic backdrops for hits like Cobra Kai, The Walking Dead, Prisoners, Blended, Brockmire, Den of Thieves and Jackpot. His Hollywood destiny was sealed early on when a fortune cookie at a scout lunch boldly predicted, "You will make a name for yourself in the entertainment industry." And make a name he did! After studying architecture at Georgia Tech and soaring through the skies with the Army's 24th Aviation Battalion, Dodd's Hollywood journey began by chance. When the feature film Wanderlust set up shop on his family's farm, he dove headfirst into location management, realizing he'd found his true calling. A proud member of the Television Academy and LMGI, Dodd's passion for storytelling extends to every facet of his work. When he's not shaping cinematic worlds or dreaming of tiki huts and sandy shores, Dodd resides near Atlanta with his wife, Taylor, their son, Jordan, and a few lucky rescue pets, soaking up lake life whenever he can. Kay Pointing Wilson/LMGI Kay is a dual national holding both British and Vincentian (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) citizenship. Her first job was with the BBC's Natural History Unit, Bristol, UK, in an admin role processing the expenses of crew working overseas. Tales from afar fed her wanderlust; during her career, she has been able to travel extensively working in France, Spain, North Africa, Greece and Cyprus, however, her longest time in one place coincided with the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines where as a local she joined the production as a member of the marine crew. In the following years, Kay built an award-winning marine tourism business in St. Vincent, whilst supporting visiting productions as a fixer and production manager across the Eastern Caribbean. Now based in South Wales, she has since worked as a scout and location manager supporting HETV and features, both in the UK and overseas, traveling to Vietnam ( SAS Who Dares Wins S8/Celebrity S5) and Grenada (Fortune Hotel S2). When not on set, Kay is an LMGI Board member, an active member of BECTU (Broadcasting, Entertainment, Communications and Theatre Union) and sits on the Television Access Project Production Spaces Committee which advocates to make work in film and TV more accessible for those with disabilities. She also advocates for crew wellbeing and welfare on set as a trained wellbeing facilitator.
