With Hardwick's lively hosting, the Board installation, and
moving tributes to Lievsay, del Toro, and Wexler's legacy, the evening
beautifully embodied CAS's commitment to honoring our craft's
highest standards.
As applause filled the Beverly Hilton, the 62nd Cinema Audio
Society Awards ended on a high note of inspiration and camaraderie.
This Los Angeles event showcased sound's power across film and
television, honoring winners from the seven categories. Special
recognition also went to Mingxi Xu for the CAS Student Recognition
Award, celebrating the next generation of sound talent.
The festivities spilled to the after-party where conversations
continued over coffee, cookies, cake, and other libations.
Beyond the awards, the evening celebrated our tight-knit
community and shared drive to innovate. Even during challenging
times for the film industry, CAS continues to encourage emerging
mixers and support seasoned professionals, making these awards a
true highlight of inspiration and connection.
