Not only was he Julia's trusted make-up artist, but also for Madonna (Desperately Seeking Susan, Dick Tracy), Nicole Kidman (Far and Away), Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction), Uma Thurman (Life Before Her Eyes, My Super Ex-Girlfriend), Demi Moore (Indecent Proposal, The Juror), Tina Fey (Date Night, 30 Rock), and actors Tom Cruise, Michael Douglas, and Bruce Willis, Richard's love of period films led him also to become a spokesperson for Max Factor Cosmetics when they realigned their brand to reflect old Hollywood glamour. Richard Dean was a member of both IATSE Local 706 (in 1996) and 798 and was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He was based in New York and for many years lived in Greenwich Village, but upon retirement, moved to Brooklyn where he loved his gardening. No matter what part of the world he was shooting in, whether it was on location or at a studio, he always found a little getaway nicknamed "Richard's Park," where you could just get away from the craziness of production and find a quiet moment. Although a quiet and humble man who did not seek the limelight, Richard's rapier wit could slay you in a second. He did not tolerate fools and would not allow them into his space. He had an amazing talent for calming prima donnas. He is survived by his sister Susan Camurynsky and close friend/caregiver Don Jolien. There are no services planned, but Richard's Park is flourishing. Linda Rizzuto (1950–2026) HAIR DESIGNER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Rizzuto, an accomplished hair designer and proud member of IATSE Local 706, which she joined in 1996. Linda was also a member of IATSE Local 476 in Chicago. Linda built a remarkable career in film, television, and theater, working in roles, including department head, key hair stylist, background supervisor, and personal hair designer. She worked personally for legendary actors, including Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon and often shared fond stories from her time with them, as well as with John Candy. Her television work included Drive, Prison Break, Crime Story, Chicago P.D., and Late Show with David Letterman. Her film credits included The Day After Tomorrow, Eagle Eye, Backdraft, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Home Alone (1, 2, and 3), Gladiator, Uncle Buck, The Weather Man, Grumpier Old Men, and The Whole Ten Yards. Her theater work included celebrated productions such as The Producers, The King and I, and The Phantom of the Opera. At the age of 22, Linda opened her first salon, Rizzi's in Chicago, where she honed the skills and passion for hair styling that would lead her into a successful career in entertainment. After retiring, she continued to style her family's hair but told her brother John that what she missed most was designing hair styles and working professionally with hair. Family and friends were the center of Linda's life. She loved being together with them, especially on holidays and during annual Super Bowl gatherings. She is survived by her siblings—two brothers and one sister—nine nieces and nephews, and nine great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply. Linda retired in the charming town of Romeoville and enjoyed long weekends in Michigan at her best friend's lake house. She also found joy in repurposing furniture, gifting her creations to family and friends, traveling, and embracing life's adventures. She adored her beloved Yorkies, Minnie and Tillie, who were constant companions. Linda will be remembered for her extraordinary talent, warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives she touched.
