Nguyen and Austin Keeling weren't just cutting scenes for Amazon's sci-f i thrill- er f ilm, "Mercy " — they were building HERE COMES THE AI JUDGE HOW THE POST TEAM BLENDED LIVE ACTION AND ANIMATION IN THE SCI-FI THRILLER 'MERCY' them from a stupendous array of sources. Instead of working with a few camera an- gles and pre-designed graphics, they were managing 10 times the usual amount of material, juggling more than 20 simulta- neous camera feeds, crafting unique POV shots, and designing and animating near- ly every on-screen element directly inside the edit. "Mercy" follows detective Chris Raven (Chris Pratt) as he stands on trial, accused of murdering his wife.
