Co-moderated by Vice President, Los Angeles, Lisa Ann Walter and Elyssa Phillips, the roundtable celebrated the collective progress and future of women-identifying actors across the entertainment landscape. In the photo, panelists are also joined by LA Local President Joely Fisher and LA Women's Committee Co-Chairs Caitlin Dulany and Elyssa Phillips, and Co-Vice Chairs Cox and Lizza Monet Morales. ● Ashes to Films: LA Wildfire Recovery Summit SAG-AFTRA LA Local President Joely Fisher, center, and National Board member Jason George joined California Film Commission Executive Director Colleen Bell at Quixote Studios on Jan. 7 for the Ashes to Films Los Angeles Wildfire Summit. A year after the devastating fires, the panel discussed the unique vulnerabilities of performers and the critical need for structural safety nets. With the recent $420 million augmentation of the state's film and TV tax credit program, Fisher and George emphasized the union's commitment to ensuring the entertainment industry remains the stable, resilient heart of the Los Angeles economy. ● From Service to Screen The historic rotunda and trophy room of the American Legion Hollywood Post 43 buzzed with energy on March 13 as SAG-AFTRA LA Local members gathered with fellow veterans across entertainment for an evening of networking, fellowship and shared ambition. ● Keeping the Magic in LA SAG-AFTRA LA Local President Joely Fisher and LA Mayor Karen Bass, joined by other union and industry leaders, celebrated the ribbon-cutting on East End Studios' new Mission Campus on Jan. 21.
