ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE www.postmagazine.com 26 POST MAR/APR 2026 BEEBLE'S SWITCHX BRINGS CONTROLLABLE GENERATIVE VIDEO TO VFX WORKFLOWS LOS ANGELES — Beeble, the VFX relighting platform, has introduced SwitchX (beeble.ai/research/switchx), a generative video capability that allows artists to change the lighting, background, props, costumes and on-screen world of a video, while keeping the subject consistent, recognizable and intact. Unlike generative video tools that introduce drift or inconsistency, SwitchX was built around controllability. Users can switch a subject into a completely new environment for a music video or campaign. An everyday room can be changed into a professional podcast or studio setup. Scenes can also be relit to change a mood or time of day. And props, costumes and set elements can be replaced while keeping physically correct light interaction. Users are required to upload a video or image to the Beeble cloud app. SwitchX automatically detects the main subject, with an interactive masking tool. Next, they add a reference image to visually define the desired scene, including lighting, background and props. SwitchX then analyzes the original footage — frame-by-frame and pixel-by-pixel — using that data to strictly guide the generation process and ensure consistency. In as little as five minutes, SwitchX can produce a 2K video with new lighting, background, shadows and camera perspective, while preserving key details, such as identity, facial characteristics and audio sync. SwitchX is available on the Beeble cloud app. AWS INTRODUCES ELEMENTAL INFERENCE SERVICE SEATTLE — AWS (https://aws.amazon.com) has introduced AWS Elemental Inference, a fully managed AI service that automatically transforms and maxi- mizes live and on-demand video broadcasts to engage audiences and gener- ate revenue. At launch, AWS Elemental Inference will enable video customers to adapt video content into vertical formats optimized for mobile and social platforms in realtime. With AWS Elemental Inference, broadcasters and streamers can reach audi- ences on social and mobile platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts without manual post production or AI expertise. Most live broadcasts are still produced in landscape format for traditional viewing. Converting them into vertical formats for mobile platforms typically requires time-consuming manual editing that causes broadcasters to miss viral moments and lose audi- ences to mobile-first destinations. The AWS Elemental Inference service uses an agentic AI application that analyzes video in realtime and automatically applies the right optimizations at the right moments. Detection of vertical video cropping and clip generation happens independently, executing multi-step transformations that require no human intervention to extract value. AWS Elemental Inference analyzes video and automatically applies AI capabilities with no human-in-the-loop prompting required. The process applies AI capabilities in parallel with live video, achieving :06 to :10 latency compared to minutes for traditional post processing. The service integrates seamlessly with AWS Elemental MediaLive, so users can enable AI features without modifying their existing video architecture. AWS Elemental Inference is currently available in four AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Europe (Ireland) and Asia Pacific (Mumbai).
