has its own unique look and firing mechanism with both stand-in versions, as well as "firing" versions. Every time it was brought out on set, people were drawn to it, and the end result was just absolutely beautiful. Victor's prosthetic leg is another outstanding prop whose final build is credited to the team at Walter Klassen FX. There were multiple versions made for the film: wearable, stand-in, broken, aged, and brand-new versions. One of the legs was built over an existing prosthesis that a stand-in could wear over a residual limb. These legs were all based on a rented antique piece from Curious Sciences in London. The base of the leg was made by a prosthesis maker out of Ontario which Walter Klassen FX's team then augmented using the period-correct leathers, grommets, and hardware sourced by Monaghan herself. The leg goes through many iterations on the screen due to damage and wear and tear so extra parts were made that could be swapped out on set depending on where they were in the timeline of the story. Monaghan made sure to mention that the Property Department's on-set team really outdid themselves keeping up with these changes and swaps often in dark, cramped spaces and frequently outside in rough weather.
