CELEBRATING TAG FOUNDATION'S FIRST MENTORSHIP COHORT from top, left: TAG Foundation Director Alexi Drosu with Kristin Donner; Mentee Aprilyn Cunanan and her Mentor Cheryl Johnson; a QR code shared program info; Mentor Rob Hoegee and his wife chat with Showrunner Eric Robles. In December, members of the TAG Foundation's first mentorship program celebrated its inaugural success at Eden on Brand in Glendale. It was an evening dedicated to recognizing the community of support that made this initiative possible. The TAG Foundation, in partnership with the BRIC Foundation and supported by High Road Training Partnerships (HRTP) funds, is making a powerful impact in supporting animation workers. These critical funds have provided essential career support for mentees through training grants, equipment and software resources, and other wraparound services designed to ensure participants have the tools they need to succeed. The program's first round received 149 applications, with 28 participants—all TAG members—selected and matched with experienced mentors. The enthusiasm for mentorship has been equally strong, with almost 100 TAG members expressing interest in guiding and supporting creative talent. As part of the program's commitment to professional development, Career Coach and Entertainment Lawyer Jim Arnoff led workshops on networking, interview skills, and career advancement. Participants also received career coaching and job support from HR Specialist Jenn Bushell, helping them translate their skills into tangible opportunities. The TAG Foundation is focused on cultivating creativity in every community through myriad programs including a new training center at the TAG office offering classes and workshops, community events, and support services. In addition, in 2025 , the TAG Foundation donated nearly $70,000 in direct funds, equipment replacement, and gift cards to union members affected by the Altadena and Pacific Palisades fires.
