LOCAL706.ORG • 31 Jade's Bold Spirit Lois kept Jade's teen make-up minimal with neutral earth tones, a touch of peach blush, light liner, mascara, and natural lip balm. Her pop star persona leans into drama with a sharp-cut crease eye, smokey-winged eyeliner, and shimmering eyeshadows and bold rhinestones with gem accents. Sculpted cheeks and defined lips in deep nude or vibrant shades complete her dynamic stage presence. Teen Jade is the rebel wearing natural curly/wavy hair styles that include funky braids and twists, with ornaments that could be described as hair hardware. When Brenda transforms Jade for her performance look, she applies a long straight wig bejeweled with crystal barrettes and vintage broaches. The Two Shellys Nile helped shape the Two Shellys' chic teen rich-girl make-up aesthetic. Their everyday looks feature flawless, dewy skin with a light foundation, a soft body peach blush for a youthful flush, subtle taupe eyeshadow, precise thin eyeliner, and voluminous mascara to enhance their eyes. Lips are kept sophisticated with glossy nude or soft pink shades. When styling the Bloom's archrivals, the Two Shellys, Melanie E. designed a look for Shelly Sharp that always included an embellished braid along her face no matter the hair style, while Shelly LaBrock had a sleek, coiffed head band look. The Two Shellys are the unmistakable picture of affluence. The Blooms are brought to life by three gifted and hardworking young ladies, Carmen Sanchez as the 'rebellious poet' Jade, Lumi Pollack as 'organized perfectionist' Posey, and Ruby Marino as our 'quirky optimist' Tulip. These three had the good fortune of performing original and distinctive songs written by the iconic Diane Warren, who is also an executive producer. The creators had a clear and persuasive vision for the characters but appreciated our input and always made themselves available for creative conversations. Producer Zack Lowenstein, co-producer Natalie Duvoisin, our amazing AD team, Dave Cove and Tony Eng, and the costume department, lead by designer Bramli Knauf, were all a dream to work with—supportive, collaborative, and always accessible. The talent and hard work of our spectacular Los Angeles crew is evident throughout the series. Electric Bloom is dazzling, funny, and heartwarming. It's about the power of friendship and motivating kids to believe in their Big Dreams. Disney was looking for characters that were Epoch and we were all-in to achieve that.
