It's hard for me to choose just one, but I have to say my personal favorite is The Devil Wears Prada reunion from the 30th anniversary show in 2024. "To see three of our favorite actresses, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, come together to present an award was thrilling. To see the revered Meryl trip over the microphone as she walks in was very funny. But best of all, to see Emily and Anne throw Miranda Priestly's dry, cutting lines back at Meryl was truly hilarious. You could tell that these three incredibly talented women were loving every minute of it." DARYL ANDERSON, Actor Awards Committee Vice Chair "Cast reunions have become an eagerly anticipated aspect of the Actor Awards' annual presenter lineup. My favorite was the first one, from the 1997 show, because it was dreamt up by the committee itself — we didn't have permanent staff yet — and because it was utterly out of le field. "The idea: 'Let's ask Michael Cole, Clarence Williams III and Peggy Lipton to present one of the TV ensemble awards. The Mod Squad!' There wasn't a sequel or reboot in the works; no clever tie-in. Just a sense among us that the casts of [that day's] hits had all watched somebody else doing it first and would love to receive this still-new honor from their hands. "The appearance by The Mod Squad actors wasn't announced in advance; their entrance was a complete surprise. The room went absolutely nuts. Later, at the aerparty, I saw Jimmy Smits, who'd been nominated that night for NYPD Blue, leaning into Michael Cole and telling him how seeing the young detectives of The Mod Squad had inspired him to become an actor. The looks on both their faces were pure magic — magic of a sort The cast of The Devil Wears Prada (2006), from le, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
