Alan Heim, ACE, will be exiting as presi- dent after serving for 10 years. Shiran Miller, ACE, was elected as vice president following years of board service. In a hard-fought race, Miller defeated fel- low board member A.J. Catoline, ACE, for the office. In addition, Lisa Zeno Churgin, ACE, will be the new sergeant-at-arms, succeeding longtime board member Bill Elias. The Guild will celebrate the longstand- i n g d e d i ca t i o n o f P re s i d e n t H e i m a n d Sergeant-at-Arms Elias at the installation dinner on January 10, where three new board members will also be feted: Mae Sussman, Bobbi Banks, MPSE, and Mark Mangini, MPSE. In addition to Heim and Elias, others exiting the board include assistant editors Emma DuPell and Michael Zurer; Eastern Region alternates Bobby Cotnoir and Nolan Jennings; sound editors Nicole Fletcher and Jerry Ross, and re-recording mixer Lora Hirschberg. The election was marked by the highest turnout in more than two decades, with a participation rate of 36%, a huge jump from last year's 21%. This was the third year that the Guild used electronic voting. "We want to thank every member who voted, who encouraged other members to vote, and every candidate who chose to run," said Sean Thompson, chair of the Local 700 Election Committee. "We invite you all to be involved and participate in whatever way you can as we work towards the many and varied concerns that our F. HUDSON MILLER TO LEAD NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS union faces." Following are the newly elected mem- bers of the MPEG board, effective January 2026. There will be a total of 39 board mem- bers and six officers.
