The Foley team at C5 Foley House has received multiple award nominations and wins, including CAS, MPSE, and Primetime Emmy Awards, for their television work on Boardwalk Empire, a gritty period drama about an Atlantic City politician, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (featured in the Summer 2025 issue of Wavelength), a comedy-drama about a stand-up comedian. Foley was a critical tool for conveying those stories through sound in a different era. Each show ran for a total of five seasons. Sonic consistency was essential, involving keeping the same shoes, techniques, and performances sustained for all the main characters over the five-season run. On The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, sound supervisor/re-recording mixer Ron Bochar highlighted the challenge of keeping track of the main characters' extensive late 1950's wardrobes. Foley supervisor Steve Visscher was a vital asset on both shows, streamlining spotting sessions and preparing the best takes for the respective sound supervisors and re-recording mixers. The psychological drama Severance continued the shop's awards streak garnering multiple sound nominations, as well as a Primetime Emmy win for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series - One Hour. The series-long efforts, talent, and collaboration of Foley editor Eric Strausser, Foley mixer George Lara, Foley artists Marko Costanzo and Alex Wang, re-recording mixer Bob Chefalas, and sound supervisor editor/ mixer Jacob Ribicoff are evident in each episode's massive amount of intricate Foley work and dynamic sonic landscape. The C5 Foley House's television work also included projects with outside clients like Larry Blake (The Knick, Logan Lucky, Magic Mike's Last Dance), Nicholas Renbeck (Doctor Death, The Night Of, The Righteous Gemstones), David Paterson (Marco Polo, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, George in the control room during The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
