Foley House

or more than 35 years, in the
historic Chelsea neighborhood
of New York City, C5 Inc. has
shaped the sound of legendary
films and television shows,
garnering numerous Emmy, Oscar, CAS, and
MPSE Golden Reel nominations and wins along
the way. Core to the sound of these celebrated
soundtracks was the Foley stage, helmed by
Foley artist Marko Costanzo and Foley mixer
George Lara. Sadly, the C5 Foley House closed
its doors this year. In this article, we document
and explore the history of the stage, the talent,
and some of its most storied projects, which
have influenced so many of our lives and
careers.
