32 M PS E . O R G hat do you get when you combine games, insightful discussions, a breathtaking campus, picture-perfect weather, delicious food and more than 200 sound professionals? The answer is Game Audio Fest, a one-of-a-kind experience on Riot Games' stunning campus. MPSE and Riot Games joined forces to put on this jam-packed day full of fun, learning, and networking. We set out to make it a memorable occasion for all. The day opened with a surprise welcome video from prolific voice actor Jennifer Hale. Jennifer was a presenter at our 72nd Golden Reel Awards, and was also the voice of our Game Audio Fest trailer leading up to this event. We then kicked off our first panel called "From Console to Cinema: Adapting Game Worlds for Film & TV." This was a deep discussion about how sound is being approached for high- profile films and shows. Each sound team had a slightly different creative process, and they each shared a wealth of insight. Our amazing panelists for this included: Jamey Scott MPSE Sound Designer of The Super Mario Bros. Movie Chris Battaglia MPSE Sound Effects Supervisor of The Last of Us Scott Hanau Senior Score Supervisor of The Last of Us Brad Beaumont MPSE Supervising Sound Editor of Arcane Eliot Connors MPSE Supervising Sound Editor of Arcane Jay Jennings MPSE Supervising Sound Editor of A Minecraft Movie Matt Yocum MPSE Supervising Sound Editor of Secret Level W Game Audio Fest Recap GA M E AU D I O BY ERIC MARKS MPSE
