A fully functional Defender arcade cabinet was also on display, inviting visitors to play and raising donations for the Ethel Crutcher Scholarship Fund. It was inspiring to see so many professionals moving fluidly between game, film, and television projects, and just as many others ready to explore new creative paths. As the boundaries between mediums continue to blur, MPSE stands proudly at the intersection, helping sound professionals connect, learn, and share the power of sound across every medium. The Gold Networking Mixer One of the highlights of GameSoundCon 2025 was the Gold Networking Mixer, proudly sponsored by MPSE. The evening brought together hundreds of sound designers, composers, voice actors, dialogue specialists, producers, studio owners, and technologists for several hours of connection and collaboration. It became clear that the game-audio community thrives on shared ideas and creative exchange across disciplines and studios. Those spontaneous conversations about storytelling, creativity, and mentorship are exactly what MPSE aims to foster. The mixer was more than a social gathering. It was a celebration of craft, generosity, and community, and a reminder that strong connections make great things possible. Sessions That Stood Out GameSoundCon 2025 featured more than eighty sessions offering insight into the craft, technology, and artistry of interactive sound. Many resonated deeply with MPSE members and the broader audio-post community. • Advanced Systems Design in Ghost of Yotei – Rev. Dr. Bradley D. Meyer, Josh Lord • Dialogue Loudness: The Perils of Using LUFS When Mastering Voice for Your Mix – Charles Pateman Each presentation reinforced a shared truth: editorial excellence and sonic storytelling are as vital in games as they are in film. The hallmarks of an MPSE member—precision, collaboration, and creativity—remain essential across every platform.
