B M & T ••• November/December 2025 ••• www.blackmeetingsandtourism.com 35 The Northeast remains one of the most strategic regions for meetings and incentives, offering planners access to America's most storied cities and progressive cultural corridors. From the political pulse of Washington D.C. to the financial gravity of New York, the region commands influence while providing unmatched infrastructure for conferences, executive summits, and heritage-focused events. Venues span waterfront casinos, Ivy League campuses, revitalized Black business districts, and LEED-certified convention centers, all within close proximity to Amtrak, major airports, and global embassies. For African-American planners, the Northeast offers more than access. It offers agency. These are cities where collective ambition becomes institutional progress. They make history, build equity, and set national agendas. BY ZYAN AVRAHAM Fall in Central Park photo credit: Marley White
