Palm Springs Film Oasis Fam Tour: Part Deux
by Dodd Vickers/LMGI
In December 2024, Greater Palm Springs turned up the
heat, dazzling a selection of location managers from
the Location Managers Guild International with a Film
Oasis Fam Tour that was nothing short of cinematic.
Partnered with the Riverside County Film Commission,
Visit Greater Palm Springs rolled out a weekend
extravaganza showcasing why this desert oasis
could be a cinematic muse for productions. "These
tours are designed to introduce experienced location
professionals to the diversity of landscapes and
neighborhoods across our nine cities—many of which
might not typically be seen through a film-industry
lens," said Joyce Kiehl, Visit Greater Palm Springs
Director of Communications and Film Liaison.
